Madrid, February 25 2026. COFIDES has granted a €6.75 million co-investment loan to GH Cranes & Components to support the construction of a new industrial building dedicated to crane manufacturing, which will increase the company’s production capacity.
The loan, provided through the Fund for Foreign Investment (FIEX), will significantly expand the productivity of the plant operated by the company in Klobuck (Poland). With this investment, the production area will increase from 2,489 m² to 5,800 m², tripling its steel processing capacity. The total investment in the project amounts to €10 million.
In recent years, COFIDES has supported the international expansion of GH Cranes & Components, an alliance that has enabled the Basque company to strengthen its presence in strategic markets such as Argentina, Mexico, Poland and the United States.
In 2024, GH Cranes & Components carried out a similar production investment project in Texas (USA), with a total investment of nearly €13 million. This project was also supported by COFIDES through a co-investment loan and backed by the Basque Finance Institute. The plant is now fully operational and has been running at full capacity since the second half of 2025.
According to Miguel Ángel Ladero, CIO of COFIDES, “the commitment to the industrial and construction sector in a dynamic market such as Poland confirms the international competitiveness of Spanish companies like GH.” He also highlighted that “the investments jointly made in four countries reflect the strength and continuity of our collaboration.”
Jose Antonio Guerra, CEO of GH Cranes & Components, stated that “this ambitious investment reflects GH Cranes & Components’ firm commitment to internationalisation, in this particular case, in Poland, a country where GH has been operating for more than 20 years. In this context, the company has experienced continuous growth in the country and the wider region, driven by our strong industrial vocation and a robust technical support service for customers.”
