Madrid, March 9, 2017 - Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo, COFIDES SA, SME will take part in the conference Exportar para Crecer (Export for Growth) dedicated to the promotion of Spanish investment in the USA. Under the slogan "Destination USA: A country of opportunities", Exportar para Crecer (Export for Growth) together with the U.S Commercial Office in Spain and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Spain, two events have been organised that will be held in Madrid and Barcelona.
The first conference will take place on Tuesday 21st March at the Auditorium of Banco Sabadell in Madrid. The COFIDES Commercial and Business Development Deputy Director, Cristina Mena will present the company’s financial instruments at a Roundtable "Opportunity USA: a destination for investment". The roundtable will also be made up of members from other companies such as the president of Employee Mobility Solutions, Ana Gazarian, Garrigues partner and co-Director of the US Desk, Ferran Escayola and Maurici Lladó, executive of Banco Sabadell in Miami.
On Wednesday 22nd March, the second conference, will be held in the Auditorium of Banco Sabadell in Barcelona. Here the COFIDES Commercial and Business Development Director, Ana Cebrián, will present the COFIDES financial instruments at a Roundtable "Opportunity USA: a destination for investment". Alongside Cebrian will be the Employee Mobility Solutions President, Ana Gazarian, Garrigues partner and co-Director of the US Desk, Ferran Escayola, Maurici Lladó, executive of Banco Sabadell in Miami and Girbau SA, CEO, Guillem Clofent.
COFIDES collaborates with “Exportar para Crecer” (Export for Growth), a program with the aim of encouraging and facilitating investment and exports of Spanish companies in other countries. It is a program put in place by Amec, Arola, CESCE, ESADE, AENOR, COFIDES, Garrigues and Banco Sabadell.
COFIDES is a combined private-public concern, which since 1988 has provided financial support to Spanish enterprises abroad. COFIDES manages the FIEX and FONPYME funds on behalf of the State Secretariat for Trade, within The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. The stockholders include the Bank of Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), Santander Bank, Popular Bank, Sabadell Bank and CAF (Development Bank of Latin America).
