COFIDES recognises the activities of institutions and companies involved in the internationalisation of the Spanish economy


Madrid, January 15, 2016. Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo, COFIDES SA held the 3rd Edition of their “Internationalisation Advancement Awards” and recognised the outstanding work of Spanish institutions and companies involved in the promotion of internationalising economic activity.

The awards ceremony took place in the COFIDES auditorium and was presided over by the Secretary of State for Commerce, Jaime García-Legaz, accompanied with COFIDES Chairman, Salvador Marin. In the 3rd Edition of the “Internationalisation Advancement” Awards the companies and institutions who were rewarded for their work and involvement in the advancement of internationalisation were: The Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Innovation Agency and Corporate Finance (ADE), AMC Juices, the Phibo Group and the Directorate General of International Trade and Investment, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.


In recognition of the endeavours of the entire cameral activity, as well as for the contribution of the Chambers of Commerce to the internationalisation of Spanish companies, and especially the SMEs, COFIDES has recognised The Spanish Chamber of Commerce work.

The Spanish Chamber aims to represent, promote and defend the general interests of commerce, industry, services and navigation, as well as the provision of services to companies engaged in these activities. Also, it is the representation and coordination body of all the territorial Chambers of Commerce, before national and international bodies. It plays an active role as an advisory body and of cooperation with the General Administration of the State, assuming responsibility for the design and implementation of the Cameral Plans of competitiveness and internationalisation of the Spanish company.


In this category COFIDES rewarded the Innovation Agency and Corporate Finance (ADE) of Castilla y Leon, for their volume of activity, effective contacts and acts performed, as well as for the increase in the volume of potential clients after the signing of a cooperation agreement with COFIDES.

ADE’s intention was to be the main promoter of economic activity development and of productive activity in the community of Castilla y León, providing high quality service, focussing on the real needs of Castilla y León’s society.


COFIDES presented the award in the “Overseas Project by a Large Corporation” category to AMC Juices for their optimum level of activity, their commitment to quality, innovation and research as well as their international development.

AMC is a family business group dedicated to the global food and beverage sector, using its own brand and specialising in: fresh fruits, juices, smoothies and natural fruit drinks. Its juice squeezing facilities are located in Spain, Costa Rica, Germany and Holland, with an ultra-modern factory in which COFIDES collaborated, its packing and distribution centres are in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway and Dubai. 


In the "Overseas Project by an SME" category, COFIDES awarded a prize to the Phibo Group. COFIDES valued the variety of international projects developed with the company, the innovative nature, as well as the high scientific component of their products and clear leadership that stands out in its sector of activity.

Phibo Group is the Spanish leader in dental implants, CAD-CAM protheses and associated products. It has subsidiaries in Germany, France, Colombia, the Middle East, Benelux, Mexico, Chile, Italy and Portugal. Its R&D centre employs advanced technology, enabling it to hold a large number of international patents and to create innovative and a comprehensive range of dental solutions. COFIDES has supported Phibo in its Mexican, Geman and Colombian internationalisation process.


In recognition of their extensive and efficient work in the internationalisation of the Spanish economy, COFIDES awarded a special mention to the Directorate General of International Trade and Investments of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
