Madrid, de November 12, 2024. COFIDES will support the internationalization process of the One Shot hotel chain. To this end, it has granted a €1M loan from the Fund for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Investment Operations (FONPYME). With this loan, the company will finance the opening costs of its second hotel in Oporto, Portugal. The total investment of the project is €1.5M.
One Shot has won the National Award for Urban Rehabilitation 2024 for its work on this hotel and the awards for Best Luxury Hotel in 2024 at the global level and Best Palace Hotel at the European level.
The company is pursuing a growth strategy based on the consolidation of its existing stores and the opening of new ones, both in Spain and in other countries.
This is the second operation in which COFIDES and One Shot have collaborated, after supporting the company with the FONREC fund, whose financing has already been fully repaid.
CONTRIBUTION TO THE SDGs
The project will also be supported by the COFIDES Impact program, which is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and funded by Next GenerationEU. COFIDES Impact supports investments that generate a positive impact on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing a bonus on the variable sustainability component of the cost of financing, linking it to compliance with certain sustainable indicators. In this case, the reduction in the price of the financing will be associated with obtaining and maintaining quality certifications in the new hotel in Portugal. This operation has a particular impact on the achievement of SDG 8 "Decent work and economic growth" as it has contributed to the creation of 15 jobs.
The CIO of COFIDES, Miguel Ángel Ladero, stated that "it is very gratifying to be able to contribute to the international growth of One Shot, a hotel chain that stands out for the unique design and strategic location of its hotels, with a presence in the main Spanish cities."
