Madrid, August 03, 2023. COFIDES will support the specialised cybersecurity business BeDisruptive in its growth in Italy. With that aim in mind, COFIDES granted a joint venture loan amounting to 4.9 million euros and charged to the Fund for Foreign Investment (FIEX).

The financing will be used for the construction of a new cybersecurity operations centre in Milan in order to consolidate BeDisruptive's position in the country, increase its business volume, and provide better service. In recent years, Italy has seen a high demand for cybersecurity, a trend that is expected to grow steadily due to the spread of digitalisation.

This is the second transaction in which COFIDES and BeDisruptive have collaborated, after COFIDES supported the company in the construction of another centre in Italy in 2021.

This project is part of the COFIDES Impact programme, through which COFIDES supports investment projects that bring about a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Thus, a relationship is established between the financing granted and the impact of the investment using indicators linked to key criteria, with a part of the financing being subsidised based on compliance with said indicators.

The corporate head of the COFIDES Investment Division, Miguel Ángel Ladero, pointed out that "It is gratifying to support the growth and competitiveness of a company like BeDisruptive, which contributes with its technology and innovation to facilitating the digitalisation of other companies and to creating a more secure environment”.

The CEO of BeDisruptive, José Ángel Delgado, noted that "The support provided by COFIDES is essential to expand our presence in a country with an increasing demand for highly specialised services." In addition, he added that "The cybersecurity opportunities offered by the digital transformation strengthen the growth of Spanish companies like BeDisruptive outside Spain's national territory”.

Founded in 2016, BeDisruptive is a company specialised in managed security services, constantly monitoring its clients' digital and technological assets to prevent, detect, and respond to potential cyber threats.
